JUST AS I AM MINISTRIES, INC is Celebrating Our 20TH ANNIVERSARY As An IRS 501 c 3 Charity in Waco, Texas.

Just As I Am Ministries, lnc. Community Support Activities over its 20 years have included:
  1. Men Transition Recovery houses in East & South Waco
  2. Women Transition Recovery houses in East and South Waco
  3. A Food Pantry in East Waco where over 140 tons of  fresh vegetables & meat were given out in a little over two years in our East Waco community
  4. A clothes pantry with men, women, children’s clothes and toys along with food from our food  pantry . The clothes pantry has continued at 1134 Kellum Street in East Waco
  5. A COMPASSION LOVE CENTER under the direction of Sister Lekeria Massey  that opened on May 11, 2024 that provides  personal hygiene and household items as well as men, women and children’s clothes, books, and toys to those  in our community who may have a need
  6. Gathering centers for group Bible study in East & South Waco
  7. Financial Assistance  and Support for the Brazos Gators peewee football team  with a van and bus
  8. Sunday morning youth gatherings for  the Brazos Gators peewee football team and coaches at the Columbus Avenue Baptist Church’s Center building for several years
  9. Individual and group spiritual counseling and  guidance on how to allow God to be the center of one’s life.
  10. Several indoor and tent events and revivals in East & South Waco over the years
  11. The Academy for Artistic Development and Early Learning Child Care Center. (ACADEMYAL. COM)
  12. The renovation of the 1308 Tabor Street apartments for homeless veterans on Clifton Street in East Waco
  13. Obtaining a Historical Marker  from the State of Texas for the  JAIAMI’s historic Alpha Theater on  Clifton Street in East Waco
  14. A Community Garden approved by the Department of Agriculture for our six platted lot on Clifton & Major Streets while waiting for the renovation of the  Historic Alpha Theater
  15. The purchase of a 6.5 acre farm with a church & house in Riesel, Texas. We just  put a new roof on the  church & have begun the process of reroofing the house to become a Center for homeless families
  16. A local NA group that meets three evenings a week in our gathering center building adjacent to our COMPASSION  LOVE CENTER building at 610 DeShong Smith Street
  17. As our funds permit, providing a week’s stay for homeless individuals in local hotels or  motel   having averaged about three persons  per month for the last 4 or 5 months
  18. Helping individuals with financial assistance with personal needs, such transportation, rent payments, phone bills, groceries, and so on.
  19. Providing opportunities for individuals who need community service hours to work with our charity
  20. Offering job opportunities for a few individuals in our community
  21. Last, but not least, four one-hour group Bible study teleconferences per week using the daily readings & reference scriptures from the UPPER ROOM DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE.
  22. The group Bible studies are all  recorded and some of the audio recording are posted on our website (www.jaiami.org)

 

JAIAMI’s COMPASSION LOVE CENTER ❤️

Just As I Am Ministries, Inc.’ s COMPASSION LOVE CENTER ❤️ is open on Saturdays with household and personal hygiene items to donate to help those of us who might be running short on funds.

With inflation growing & wages stagnate, sometimes just a little help from a friend will help us make it through “tuff” times. ❤️
